📺 Kill Your Television, Kill Your Feed: Reclaiming Real Nourishment

In the early 90s, a simple phrase started circulating among counter-culture circles: “Kill Your Television.”

Back then, we recognized how screens were numbing us, feeding our consumerism, fear, and distraction. Many of us, myself included, turned them off altogether. I didn’t own a television for 10 years (1991-2001), and for the few years after when I did, it didn’t connect to anything but the VCR. But you know what? I didn’t miss it.

Fast forward 25 years and screens are everywhere. Not just in the living room corner, but in our pockets, on our wrists, at the dinner table. And while technology has given us incredible tools, we have to be honest: this time, it isn’t just the television killing us—it’s the feed.

Screens Don’t Nourish Us

We don’t get our true nourishment from a glowing rectangle.

  • Our bodies don’t heal from likes and shares.
  • Our souls don’t recharge from doomscrolling.
  • Our spirits don’t expand by watching someone else live their life.

Nourishment comes from something deeper: the earth beneath our feet, the plants and herbs that feed us, the light of the sun, the presence of our loved ones, the whisper of our intuition.

So why do we accept entertainment from what does not, and cannot, feed us?

The New Call to Action: Kill Your Feed

Just as we once unplugged televisions (think, summer camp) to reclaim our time and energy, we’re being invited again—this time, to turn away from social feeds that drain us.

This doesn’t mean living in a cave, ignoring the world, or rejecting technology altogether. It means choosing to connect to Source and to the living, breathing world around us before we give our attention away to a curated highlight reel.

It’s about remembering: you are biological technology. And no screen can replace what your inner tech is capable of when you’re truly plugged into life.

How This Connects to Synchronicity

When we’re constantly glued to screens, we miss the real signs.

  • The Great Blue Heron flying overhead (patience, wisdom, self-reliance, grace)
  • The repeating numbers on a receipt ($22.33, $3.33 tax, 22% tip suggestion – what what?!)
  • The “coincidental” meeting with someone who holds the next piece of our puzzle

These synchronicities don’t happen on a feed—they happen in real life. And the more you connect with that reality, the more the Universe starts speaking to you. This doesn’t mean you can’t find those synchronicities online, but it does mean you shouldn’t rely on them there.

This is exactly why I created Manifesting with Synchronicity. It’s about teaching you to:

  1. Notice the nudges (signs, symbols, synchronicities)
  2. Expect the mystical (look for magic, find magic)
  3. Follow the light (sacred geometry, master numbers, luminous breadcrumbs)

Your Invitation

The phrase “Kill Your Television” was a rally cry of a generation waking up.
Today, I believe the rally cry is: Kill Your Feed.

Not because technology is evil, but because your attention is sacred. And where your attention goes, your energy flows.

So I invite you: take a walk outside today. Sit with a tree. Watch the sky shift. Notice what signs show up around you when you stop scrolling and start seeing.

And if you’re ready to take this deeper—ready to truly activate your inner technology and live in alignment with the Universe’s signals—join me in Manifesting with Synchronicity. Our next circle begins on 9/9, and it’s your chance to reclaim your focus, your magnetism, and your life.
